A magical, Mediterranean garden
With both baroque and 1920s elements, Villa Bologna’s ample and exquisite garden is easily one of the finest examples of its kind in Malta.
Visitors are encouraged to enjoy their time here, relaxing on the shady pathways and exploring the various, historic elements. These include the stunning Baroque Nymphaeum in the side garden, as well as the Dolphin Pond, Sunken Fountain, Frog Pond and stone structures of the newer garden. Of course, the huge variety of flora – some of which is unique in Malta – also begs detailed exploration, especially by those with an interest in horticulture.
Meanwhile, the peaceful atmosphere here promises a few hours away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the island, while the backdrop of the villa itself will inspire anyone with a love of architecture or history.
